Susan Abulhawa (b. 1970 in Kuwait) is a Palestinian -US writer and human rights activist. Here parents were expelled from Jerusalem by Israel after the 1967 war. She had a chaotic childhood between Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine and USA. She has a Master's Degree in Neuroscience. Her debut novel, Mornings in Jenin (2010) was a bestseller published in at least 26 languages. In 2012, she published a poetry collection entitled My Voice Sought the Wind. Her second novel, The Blue Between Sky And Water, was published in the UK and the US in 2015 and was sold in 21 languages. Susan is the founder of a non-governmental organization, Playgrounds for Palestine. She lives in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
