Ariel Sharon is officially dead, finally, at age 85, this Saturday, January 11, 2014. For eight years he had been reduced to the status of sub-vegetable, artificially kept alive for the modest sum of 296,000 Euros per year, largely at Israeli taxpayer expense. His eight years of maintenance in a coma will therefore cost 2.5 Euros or $3.3 million. Israelis, starting first of all with Bibi Netanyahu, had already buried him. Forgotten was the "hero" of all the wars of Zionist aggression and conquest, he whom they had nicknamed "the Bulldozer." He once told some British journalists: "Even the sheep are afraid of me.”
"Normally," Ariel Sharon should have died in the infirmary of the Dutch prison where war criminals convicted by the International Criminal Court are kept prisoner, or died in an Israeli prison infirmary after being sentenced, for example, for graft payments involving the businessman Martin Schlaff
But there is no normality when the state involved is Israel, ”the only democratic state in the Middle East" (in quotes) and only state with nuclear weapons in the Middle East (without quotes)
Sharon was born Ariel Scheinermann on February 26, 1928 in Moshav Kfar Malal. His father was a Polish agronomist; his mother Belorussian. Thus he was a true Sabra. He started his career as Zionist killer while very young and participated in the 1948 war in the Haganah. Then he climbed the ranks in the new Israeli army, the IDF, in the course of the wars and the purging campaigns. The first war crimes he ordered against Palestinian civilians occurred in 1952, when he headed Unit 101, the first Zionist special forces unit, which became world famous after the massacre of 70 villagers from Qibia (West Bank) on October 14, 1953.
"Arik" became infamous in 1956, during the Suez expedition through the massacre of more than 200 Egyptian prisoners and Sudanese civilians carried out by the 890th Parachute Regiment he was commanding. He became a "war hero” during the occupation of the Sinai in 1967, he performed the dirty work in the Gaza Strip, where his men, from 1971 to 1973, killed more than 100 Palestinian civilians and captured several hundred, on behalf, of course, of the fight against “terrorism.”
Made sacred as a new "hero" of the October 1973 war, for having forced the capitulation of the Egyptian 3rd army, he then entered politics. He would use the same methods developed in his wars in this new arena, practicing the surprise attack and brutal ruse associated with the Blitzkrieg. Defense Minister in 1982, he oversaw the invasion of Lebanon and the "purging" of Beirut, in which the Lebanese Christian right-wing militia carried out the massacre of civilians in the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila. Sharon personally followed the massacre through binoculars from a terrace with views gazing down on the two camps.
In 2000, when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs, he carried out a provocation by visiting the Esplanade of the Mosques/Temple Mount in Jerusalem, - this would trigger the second Intifada. He was Prime Minister starting in 2001, he had his first stroke in December 2005 and a second in January 2006, which resulted in his dismissal for incapacity to govern on April 14, 2006. He then entered the last phase of his life, that of a vegetable.
A truly gargantuan figure — he began his day with a 24-egg omelet — Ariel Sharon will be remembered as everything that was most hateful in the absurd Zionist project. He will burn in hell forever.
